Artist's Statement
Merih has studied landscape and still llife oil painting under the guidance of Gary Godbee and Gilbert Rou at The Yard School of Art, part of the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey.
She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held two solo shows - one in Clifton, New Jersey (2005), and another in Istanbul, Turkiye (2007).
For Merih, painting feels like flying freely through nature. It brings her joy and a deep sense of freedom.
Each of her paintings reflects her inner world. She draws inspiration from nature, her four children, the play of light and color, dimensionality, and - above all - life itself.
